About Our Gold Jewellery
What does 22ct gold mean?
22ct (carat) gold means that 22 out of 24 parts are pure gold — making it 91.7% pure gold. It's the highest purity commonly used in wearable jewellery, prized for its rich, deep yellow colour. All of our 22ct gold pieces are hallmarked in the UK, guaranteeing their purity and authenticity.
What is a hallmark and why does it matter?
A hallmark is an official mark stamped onto a piece of precious metal by an assay office, confirming its purity. In the UK, hallmarking is a legal requirement for gold jewellery sold above a certain weight. Every piece we sell is hallmarked, giving you complete confidence in what you're buying.
What's the difference between 18ct and 22ct gold?
18ct gold is 75% pure gold, making it slightly harder and more durable — ideal for diamond settings where strength is important. 22ct gold is 91.7% pure, giving it a richer, warmer colour. Our diamond studs and nose accessories are set in 18ct gold for durability, while our chains, bangles, and bracelets are crafted in 22ct gold for that iconic deep yellow finish.
Do you offer 24ct gold pieces?
Yes — some of our bespoke bangles are available in 24ct gold. As 24ct is extremely pure and soft, these are made to order. Please contact us directly to discuss your requirements.
Diamond & Gemstone Questions
Are your diamonds certified?
Yes. Our diamonds are certified and graded for colour and clarity. Our solitaire studs feature diamonds graded F-G in colour and VVS in clarity — exceptionally high quality stones that offer brilliant sparkle and great value.
What is VVS clarity?
VVS stands for Very Very Slightly Included — meaning the diamond has only minute inclusions that are extremely difficult to detect even under 10x magnification. It's one of the highest clarity grades available, just below Internally Flawless (IF).
What's the difference between a solitaire and a cluster stud?
A solitaire stud features a single diamond set in gold — clean, classic, and timeless. A cluster stud features multiple smaller diamonds arranged together, often in a floral or geometric pattern, creating more sparkle and visual impact. Both styles are available as ear or nose studs.
Can I wear a nose stud as an earring and vice versa?
Yes — our diamond and gold studs are designed to work as both ear and nose studs. They feature a screw back fitting for a secure, comfortable wear in either piercing.
Ordering & Delivery
How long does delivery take?
Delivery times vary by product. Most of our in-stock accessories are dispatched within 1–3 working days. Made-to-order pieces — including our 22ct gold chains, bracelets, and bespoke items — typically take 2–6 weeks depending on the piece. Estimated delivery times are listed on each product page.
Do you ship internationally?
We primarily serve customers across the UK. If you're based outside the UK and interested in a piece, please contact us to discuss your options.
How is my jewellery packaged?
Every piece from Unis Jewellers London is presented in a luxury gift box, making it perfect for gifting straight out of the box — no extra wrapping needed.

Can I order a custom or bespoke piece?
Absolutely. Bespoke jewellery is one of our specialities. Whether you have a specific design in mind or want to recreate a family heirloom, our team can work with you from concept to completion. Visit our Bespoke Jewellery page to find out more.
Can I choose my own gemstone colour or size?
Yes — on selected pieces such as our Triple Wire Ring, you can choose your own centre stone colour. For bespoke orders, we can source specific stones to your requirements. Please get in touch to discuss.
Repairs & Aftercare
Do you offer jewellery repairs?
Yes — we offer a full repairs and servicing service. Whether it's a broken clasp, a resizing, or a full restoration, our expert team can help. Visit our Repairs & Servicing page for more information.
How should I care for my gold jewellery?
To keep your gold jewellery looking its best: store each piece separately in a soft pouch or box to avoid scratching; remove jewellery before swimming, bathing, or applying perfume or lotions; clean gently with a soft cloth; and bring it in for a professional polish periodically. With proper care, 22ct gold jewellery can last a lifetime and beyond.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your returns policy?
We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If you have any concerns with your order, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your item and we'll do our best to help. Please note that made-to-order and bespoke pieces cannot be returned unless faulty.
